I don’t really remember the riots because I was just a kid. I found this reading fascinating though. It’s important to remember the darker times in our history so we can learn from it.
Rioting is never the answer. Destroying people’s property and taking things that don’t belong to you doesn’t get across your message. It just makes you a thief and more. If you have something to say, protest peacefully. Don’t let your message be overshadowed. Vote. It can be frustrating, but I still believe that if enough voices are heard, people are educated, and votes are cast, change can happen.
This is one of my most favorite things right now. It’s splendid.
